Rankings are editorial. Always.

Compensation does not influence our program rankings, our scoring methodology, or the order in which programs appear. Rankings are determined solely by our composite Hakia Score, computed from accreditation, graduation rates, cost, and outcomes drawn from federal IPEDS and BLS data. A program cannot pay to rank higher, to be featured, or to be included at all.

We only feature accredited programs

Every school on this site holds current accreditation from a recognized body (CCNE or ACEN for nursing programs). We verify this independently against the accreditor’s directory and link to it so you can confirm it yourself. Partner status never overrides accreditation requirements.

Affiliate links are clearly contextual

When we link to a program’s website, we may earn a commission if you request information or enroll. This never changes the price you pay. It does help us keep the site free, fast, and light on ads. Where a link is a partner link, it appears in the natural flow of a ranking or guide, alongside the same data we show for every other program, partner or not.

Career and salary content is non-commercial

Our career guides, salary breakdowns, and educational resources are written entirely for informational purposes, with no affiliate relationships attached. The salary numbers come from the BLS; the career context comes from public data and our own analysis.
